Makayla was born and raised in Kokomo, Indiana, and comes from a big, blended family with three brothers, three sisters, and two stepsisters. She has been an aunt since she was five years old and now has 20 nieces and nephews. Family is a huge part of Makayla’s life, and she loves being surrounded by them.

She married her high school sweetheart at the end of 2020, and together they have two boys: their oldest turns 4 in August 2025, and their youngest is 2½.

Professionally, Makayla’s background is rooted in client support and people-first roles. She began her career in customer service at Marsh in Kokomo, then moved into banking with BMO Harris while also managing Carter’s/Osh-Kosh. She then joined Ruoff Mortgage before serving as Director of Member Engagement at the REALTORS Association. She is now grateful to be part of the team at MTC.

She genuinely enjoys working with people and building strong, collaborative relationships. Makayla believes success is not competitive — if she wins, others can win too — and that people are better when they achieve things together.
